Sports
Rehab

Sports rehabilitation addresses the recovery of a sports-related injury with specific attention to the mechanics and forces your sport requires.

When treating athletes, we work with you to not only return you to your sport and perform at an equal level (prior to injury), we also seek to help you optimize your performance while actively providing strength and conditioning that prevents injuries.

Common exercises include strength training, plyometrics, agility and speed work and sport related movements.

Our Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS), Athletic Trainers (ATC) and Physical Therapists (PT) specialize in sport rehabilitation and provide tailored programs to support you, your sport and your unique goals

Vestibular
Therapy

Using an exercise-based program, Vestibular Therapy is designed to help individuals with vestibular disorders improve their balance and reduce problems resulting from dizziness and unsteadiness.

Our therapists will perform a thorough examination and review your medical history as there are many causes for vestibular disorders and symptoms.

Individuals with vestibular disorders connected to aging, viral infections or head injuries are often able to regain their ability to perform normal activities of daily living in therapy thereby improving the quality of their lives.

Workplace Injury Rehab

Workplace injury rehabilitation addresses the recovery of a work-related injury with specific attention to the mechanics and forces that caused the injury and those that are needed to return to work.

When treating patients with workplace injuries, our focus is to not only help you return to your job and perform at an equal level (prior to injury), we also seek to help you learn how to prevent injuries that are unique to the movements required to do your job.  We see patients with injuries due to slip and falls, injuries caused by objects, and, more commonly, injuries caused by repetitive motion.

We understand the additional layer of concern our patients with workplace injuries face, given that returning to work is necessary for them to care for themselves and their families. Our licensed, experienced professionals provide tailored programs to support you and your unique needs.

Ergonomic Training

Ergonomic training is where we study how you move and function inside your daily life. We then determine how we can help you create healthy body mechanics that improve your physical health and maximize your safety, particularly in relation to your work.

The term ergonomics comes from the Greek language and roughly translates to “fitting a job to the person.” We are trained as Physical and Occupational Therapists to examine your home and/or workplace environment, your movement patterns, and if you are physically set up to maximize your physical health.

Gait
Training

Gait training is a type of physical therapy that can help improve your ability to stand and walk. If you’ve experienced an illness or injury that affects your ability to get around, your physician may recommend this type of therapy. It may help you gain independence in walking, even if you need an adaptive device.

With the help of our trained therapists, gait training can help you improve your balance and posture, build endurance, lower your risk of falls, strengthen your muscles and joints, and develop muscle memory.

Balance & Coordination Training

Balance and coordination problems make it difficult for people to maintain stable and upright positions when standing, walking, and even sitting. These conditions increase by almost 30% in people aged 80 years or more and can lead to other conditions when not addressed.

Balance and Coordination training, however, can also be highly effective for athletes seeking to improve their sports performance.

Receiving training from a trained physical therapist can help you improve your strength, stability, and mobility in all ages.
